Blackmores Echinacea ACE + Zinc 60 Tablets

Blackmores Echinacea ACE & Zinc is traditionally used 
to relieve the symptoms of mild upper respiratory tract 
infection. The antioxidant vitamins C and E, betacarotene and 
zinc, also provide relief from the symptoms of colds and flu.

Vitamin C provides relief of the symptoms of hay fever, relieves 
colds by reducing the severity and duration of symptoms such 
as coughs and sneezes. The antioxidant nutrients betacarotene, 
vitamins C and E, and zinc are all implicated in the immune 
response via a wide variety of mechanisms including cytokine 
production. 
Echinacea has been extensively investigated and is known to 
have a variety of actions on the immune system, including 
elevation of serum white blood cell count (when numbers are 
low), promotion of non-specific T-cell activation (leading to a 
range of other activities including increased activity of natural 
killer cells and stimulating the release of interferon), 
enhancement of macrophage activity, as well as having 
antibacterial and antiviral properties. 

This lower dose preparation is suitable for long term 
preventative use, however, for symptoms of acute infection, 
Blackmores Liquid Echinacea may provide more immediate relief.

Active ingredients per tablet: Echinacea purpurea (Echinacea) extract equiv. to dry whole plant 200mg; Echinacea purpurea (Echinacea) whole plant powder 300mg, (total equiv. Echinacea purpurea 500mg); Betacarotene 3mg; Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) 250mg; Vitamin B5 25.7mg; (Pantothenic acid from calcium pantothenate 28mg); Vitamin E 50IU, (d-alpha-tocopheryl acid succinate 41.3mg); Zinc amino acid chelate(equiv to zinc 1.3mg)6.5mg.
